Recorded live in my back yard, this song is a love letter to the kid I used to be.

This song is really special to me. Written in spring of 2021, it came to me during a time when I was questioning my life as an artist. Like, why work so hard to be a musician when the world was shut down and my mom was dying and it seemed like there was no end to the sadness?

I remembered who I used to be. I've been creative since I could walk. I've been connected to my voice since I could cry, since I could talk. And I've been writing stories since I could hold a pencil.

So this song is for me -- I'm choosing the courageous, creative, bold-hearted kid that still exists inside of me.
